The pandan cheese cake is really good, refreshing and the slight saltiness was enjoyable. Tomyam beehoon has good flavour but is on the wetter side. Nasi lemak was fragrant, and the staff was friendly too.

Jiran Kopitiam is a real gem! The food is delicious and beautifully presented – I especially loved the cendol with ice cream, so refreshing and generous in portion. The pastries and toast were also tasty and paired well with the drinks. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and great value for money. Definitely a spot I’ll come back to again!

2 pax breakfast experience at Jiran Kopitiam We ordered: • Curry Mee – Portion is really huge, suitable for sharing if you have a small appetite. Halfway through eating, we realized the prawn had a spoiled taste (slightly sour). We informed the staff, just to let them know and to check for other customers’ safety. To our surprise, they immediately replaced a new bowl for us without hesitation. This thoughtful service really impressed us, as we didn’t expect such replacement. • Half-boiled eggs – Cooked perfectly to 3/4 doneness, just nice to pair with toast. • Toast bread – Standard taste, decent. Next round might try their bagel instead. • Jiran Kopi Special (hot) – Topped with crushed cereal bits, very fragrant and smooth. Can request for less sweet if preferred. Overall: Food portion generous, service outstanding, coffee memorable

Pleasant local western fusion café with curry mee and homemade pastries and ! The steamed egg options are a delightful take on a traditional recipe, while the bagels are chock full of greens and flavour. Large restaurant that spans next door, with a bevy of young attentive staff in a quaintly decorated air-conditioned shop with booths along the walls. Pricing is decent and water is free flow. Plenty of parking out the front along the service road. What's not to like?

Must try the Nasi Lemak with Butterfly Pea Rice – fluffy blue-tinted rice served with crispy fried chicken, peanuts, Ikan bilis, cucumber, half a boiled egg, and just the right amount of spicy sambal. Dry Noodles – springy noodles with flavorful seasoning, simple yet comforting. A lovely spot for a hearty local breakfast or brunch in Taiping.
